    Kayla Yip

    Owner & Operator of The Carlyle Estate

    Originally from Pennsylvania, she began riding at the age of seven in the hunt seat discipline and later discovered her true passion in the Quarter Horse world. She currently shows her three horses as an amateur competitor. Known for her hands-on approach, Kayla is a constant presence in the barn. Her commitment to excellence, both in and out of the arena, reflects a lifelong dedication to the equestrian lifestyle.

    Jake Perry

    HEAD TRAINER | PERRY PERFORMANCE HORSES

    Jake grew up in Lunenburg MA, where he developed a passion for riding on the hunter jumper circuit. As he matured, he discovered the world of Quarter Horses and became deeply involved in the breed and the all around disciplines with a focus on hunt seat. Jake honed his skills at Showstop Farm, owned by AQHA hall of famer, Nancy Sue Ryan. There, he gained invaluable experience working with young horses, show preparation and assisting with breeding efforts. Since then, Jake has planted his roots back in Boston but has always kept horses in his life.

  • Aimee Garb

    HEAD TRAINER | ROSEWOOD SHOW STABLES

    Aimee leads Rosewood Show Stables, The Carlyle Estate’s Hunter/Jumper program. Originally from New Jersey, she is a lifelong equestrian with experience training and competing horses from young prospects and OTTBs to top hunters and jumpers at major venues throughout the East Coast. Her program focuses on thoughtful training, clear communication, and the development of confident horse-and-rider partnerships. Aimee is dedicated to helping her students achieve their goals and values steady progress both in and out of the show ring.

    Annie Kononchik

    TRAINER | INSTRUCTOR

    Specializing in the Hunter/Jumper discipline, Annie has been working with and riding horses since the age of five. Annie has he B.S. in Equine Business Management/Riding & Training as well and an MBA from Johnson & Wales University. She has held previous positions as an AA show grooms, barn manager and the Equine Operations Manager for JWU Equine Center. Annie is educated and skilled in many aspects of the equine health and well-being, including first-aid, nutrition, lameness, administering injections and trailering. Annie’s background is in Hunt Seat with a Dressage influence; however, she has an avid passion for fox hunting in the US and abroad.

  • Sarah Karpinski

    INSTRUCTOR

    Sarah grew up in Dracut, Massachusetts, where her lifelong passion for horses first began. With over 20 years of riding experience, she has trained and competed in both the hunter/jumper and dressage disciplines. Sarah spent approximately a decade competing on the local Massachusetts circuit and has a particular love for developing green horses, thoughtfully guiding them as they grow in confidence and skill. Outside of the ring, Sarah enjoys time in the saddle with her horse, Stella, and embraces winter months on the slopes snowboarding. When she’s not at the barn or in the mountains, she can usually be found spending time with her two dogs, Ginger and Emma.

  • Maura Mercier

    DIRECTOR OF BARN OPERATIONS

    Maura grew up in Mendon, Massachusetts and attended Arizona State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science. She began riding at the age of eight and has remained actively involved with horses ever since. Maura brings valuable veterinary technician experience to The Carlyle Estate and has a strong interest in equine reproduction and breeding. Her background, attention to detail, and dedication help ensure our facility operates smoothly and to the highest standard.

  • Bella Sutherland

    HEAD GROOM & ROAD MANAGER

    Bella Sutherland, born and raised in Hudson, Massachusetts, has had a lifelong passion for animals and began riding at the age of ten. She grew up in the hunter/jumper discipline, starting her competitive journey in the IEA, where she earned top ribbons at both Regional and Zone Finals.

    As her skills advanced, Bella moved into the A/AA rated circuits, leasing several talented horses and discovering a strong love for developing green and young prospects. That passion eventually led her to Sunny, the first horse she purchased and brought along herself—guiding him through his early training and introducing him to the show ring.

    Bella has also gained valuable experience as a working student for several top local hunter/jumper trainers. Through these roles, she has developed strong barn-management and road-management skills while continuing to grow as a rider. Her background reflects dedication, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for bringing out the best in every horse she works with.

    Alison St.George

    BARN MANAGEMENT TRAINEE

    Ali is from Dedham, Massachusetts and began her equestrian journey at the age of 11. She is a recent graduate of Norfolk County Agricultural High School and is currently pursuing her studies at the University of Connecticut. She is a member of the hunt seat riding team and is in the equine science program. Throughout her riding career, Ali has gained experience in dressage, eventing, Western, and hunt seat disciplines. Committed to her development within the equine industry, she aspires to become an influential equine business professional. She has ambitions of managing a performance facility or engaging in breeding operations. Ali’s dedication, skill, and passion position her for a promising future in the equine field.
